A dasha is a period of time ruled by a planet. The birth chart shows the pattern; the dasha shows which part of the pattern is becoming active now.
How To Use This
A dasha is read through the whole chart: the planet, its house, sign, nakshatra, rulerships, aspects, conjunctions, and current transits. This is why two people in the same dasha can have very different experiences.
